1. Photos and Metadata

• Photo Access: We access your photo library only with your explicit permission
• Metadata Analysis: We analyze photo metadata (location, date, time) locally on your device to create your travel journal
• Storage: Your photos remain on your device unless you explicitly choose to share them

2. Account Information

• Authentication: When you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your email and name
• Profile: Optional profile information you provide (display name, bio)

3. Location Data

• Photo Locations: We extract location data from your photos to organize them geographically
• Current Location: Only accessed when you explicitly use location-based features (with your permission)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Create and organize your personal travel journal
• Provide photography spot recommendations
• Enable sharing features (only when you choose to share)
• Improve app functionality and user experience
• Sync your data across your devices (when signed in)

Data Storage and Security

• Local Storage: Most data processing happens locally on your device
• Cloud Sync: When signed in, we use Supabase (SOC 2 Type II certified) for secure cloud storage
• Encryption: All data transmissions are encrypted using industry-standard protocols
• Photo Privacy: Private photos are never uploaded without your explicit action

Your Privacy Controls

You have complete control over your data:

• Private by Default: All your photos and journals are private unless you explicitly share them
• Selective Sharing: Choose exactly which spots or trips to share with the community
• Delete Anytime: Remove your data from our servers at any time
• Export Your Data: Download all your data in a portable format
• Guest Mode: Use the app without creating an account (limited features)

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Supabase: For authentication and data storage (when signed in)
• Apple Sign In: For secure authentication
• Google Sign In: For secure authentication

Data Sharing

We never sell your personal data. We share information only in these cases:

• When you explicitly choose to share spots or trips publicly
